Before we start, I would like to say that from this experience with @dior, I fell in love with Dior even more. Dior knows how to keep their customers happy and they were super efficient and professional throughout this whole exchange process.
First, I want everyone to know that this does not happen to ALL book tote bags, and it is not common as well. However, I wanted to share that it could happen to your book tote and if it does happen, this is what you could do. They said it is more common for lighter colored book tote bags than darker ones and the reason behind it is (for my case anyway) that the glue they used basically turned brown. This happened to all four corners of my bag, which why I reached out to my Dior SA. I was curious and if there's anything I am doing wrong, I wanted to know so I can make sure it doesn't get any darker or worse!
When I sent my Dior SA the pictures, he called and sincerely apologized, which I thought was very professional—and of course I wasn’t angry at him or Dior, I was just genuinely curious.
My SA told me he needs to send it to the department that handles any (possible) defects, and that it would take 5-7 business days. But for my case, he got back to me in 2 days and told me I could get a full credit back. So it was my choice of getting another book tote bag, or use the credit to buy something else at Dior. But this book tote bag was the first bag I fell in love with at Dior, so I couldn't resist but to get another one.
I stopped by at the store on the weekend, and got a brand new book tote bag, and this time, I got it in a darker color, Ecru and Blue.
The price of the bag did increase since I purchased it back in 2020, but I did not have to pay the difference. I am in love with the new Ecru and Blue color, I don't know why I didn't like this color back in 2020....😅 So would I buy more bags from Dior? HECK YES. I LOVE DIOR EVEN MORE NOW AT HOW PROFESSIONAL THEY ARE.
